This April Bridal Shower | Brings a May Wedding – Bee's Wedding & Event Designs

We love the idea of using a bridal shower as an excuse to go for totally fun and flirty design, and that’s exactly what this vendor team including Arte De Vie, Blue Skies Events Nola, and Bee’s Wedding and Event Designs did when putting everything together. The day was filled with nods to vintage romance including a hanging parasol display, a bridal throne decked out in moss and flowers, and a yummy offering of bundt cakes for the bride-to-be and her babes.

From the event designer, Blue Skies Events Nola: The theme of this photo shoot was a play on the old proverb, “April Showers bring May flowers;” the twist would be “April ‘Bridal’ Showers bring May ‘Weddings’!” The meaning behind this wise saying was everything happens for a reason, and that couldn’t be more true when it comes to planning for any wedding. The look of the photo shoot was to take literal and figurative meanings. The mix of the photo shoot happening in April and the beautiful vintage umbrellas, from Bella Umbrella, hanging from the historic oak trees in New Orleans.

We also celebrated the abundance of Spring flowers in bloom with stunning florals on the table, bridal crown, not to mention the amazing head chair! Eric with Bee’s Wedding and Event Design presented the flowers in a way that didn’t compete with the hanging umbrellas, which really balanced the whole design. Doug and CheyAnne with Arte De Vie, captured each moment perfectly! The real bride and her bridal party felt very organic and at ease during the shoot, which clearly comes across in the pictures. Between the beautiful day, the photogenic bridal party, even the visit of a pair of swans at the park, this photo shoot could not have been more perfect.
